The Women of Winslow (WOW) initiative highlights and celebrates the positive role modelling of women across the business.
We support our women by listening to them and continuing to build on our respectful workplace culture.
There are many roles at Winslow where women are excelling, such as Project Directors, Site Engineers, Quality Engineers, Project Engineers, Graduate Engineers, Health Safety and Environment (HSE) co-ordinators, and more.
WOW initiative encourages our female employees to stay connected with each other and the wider business by providing opportunities to have conversations that can help support each other when they may sometimes feel isolated on site.
Wow Aims To
- Build internal relationships and connections with each other,
- Increase knowledge and awareness of the business,
- Create learning opportunities from each other and to inspire each other,
- Enhance the understanding of career pathways and development opportunities so as to empower our women to make confident career choices,
- Increase positive role modelling through stronger connections with likeminded colleagues and mentoring.
Women of Winslow Mentoring Program
The WOW mentoring program supports site-based females through upskilling the business’s current female site leaders.
Through our internal learning and development capability we have developed programs that include on-going training for Senior Leaders (including unconscious bias training) and related topics.
Our female mentor training, whereby a number of women from across the business are selected to participate in workshops, teaching them key leadership and communication skills to become effective Mentors. Upon which our newly trained Mentors are paired with other females (Mentees) from across the business and provide them with ongoing support and guidance.
It provides the opportunity to have conversations that can help support each other when they may sometimes feel isolated on site, together with providing the opportunity to foster mentoring and learn new skills.

It’s our WOW mantra that reflects the importance of positive role modelling across the business. It’s the opportunity to showcase those women in our business who succeed every day and broadens our people’s perspective on what unlimited opportunities and inspiring careers exist across the business.
You can’t be what you can’t see also highlights the importance of women seeing other women like themselves in a particular role or profession at Winslow, otherwise it can be difficult for them to envision that same path for themselves. We want to inspire future generations and make them believe their own success is possible at Winslow.
